MS3 Networks supports more of those in need this Christmas

The Hull-based full fibre network operator donates to local foodbanks

In the spirit of the festive season and to reaffirm its commitment to supporting the most vulnerable in society , MS3 Networks, an ultrafast full fibre network operator based in Kingston-upon-Hull, demonstrates its support for local communities with donations to a number of local foodbanks. These initiatives are part of MS3’s ongoing efforts to support the wellbeing of the communities it serves.

On 19 December, MS3 Networks donated to the Scunthorpe Foodbank, supported by The Trussell Trust, a cornerstone in the community dedicated to assisting individuals and families facing crisis situations. The Scunthorpe Foodbank, with its mission to combat hunger and poverty, provides three days’ worth of food and support to people referred to them in crisis.

The following day, 20 December, MS3 Networks contributed to Feed the Community in Grimsby, a local foodbank that addresses food insecurity and provides a lifeline to individuals and families in need. By distributing food and essential items, Feed the Community has played a crucial role in alleviating the immediate challenges of those in need since its founding in 2020.

Additionally, MS3 Networks visited CARE Immingham, a local charity devoted to relieving poverty, homelessness and hardship for families and individuals. CARE Immingham's multifaceted approach includes providing not only food assistance, but also crucial support services for those facing challenging circumstances, including a housing programme and furniture donations.

MS3 has also made anonymous donations to foodbanks in the wider Hull region and In addition to the donations of food and toiletries, MS3 Networks has donated a selection of gifts to CARE’s Toys for Joy Christmas appeal.  These gifts will be distributed to over 1,000 children up to the age of 18 across Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham.

Each of the three communities MS3 has supported has additionally been covered by its full fibre network in 2023. 32,000 premises are now available in Scunthorpe, 27,000 premises in Grimsby and 4,000  in Immingham. The full fibre network provides a greater choice of more affordable broadband providers to these areas, as part of MS3’s wider goal to cover 535,000 homes and businesses across the North of England by 2025.

“MS3 Networks places huge emphasis on supporting the communities our full fibre network serves through more than just our core business focus,” explains Guy Miller, CEO of MS3. “Supporting local charities, organisations and people forms a vital part of the values our business was built on. Particularly during the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, we hope these donations will make the lives of those in need a bit easier this Christmas.”
